I'm trying to add a new user and their name is incorrect - how do I change this?

When creating a new user in HubSpot, upon entering the email address, a first and last name will populate automatically based on the email. You may see the incorrect name display if the email address is shared or if the email address has transferred ownership.

To fix the name of the user, follow the steps below:

  • Add the user (with the incorrect name, initially)
  • Have the newly added user login with their email address
  • Have the new user navigate to Account Menu > Profile & Preferences and edit their first and last name (full instructions on this here)
