Disable the recording feature for calls made in HubSpot

The ability to record calls is an account-wide setting, affecting all users who are making calls in the account. It can be disabled in your account settings. 

Please note: this will remove the Record button for all calls made by all users in your account. To access this setting, you need administrator access and View: Everything in contacts access. 

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon settings in the main navigation bar.
  • Select Sales > Calling in the left sidebar menu.

  • Click to toggle the Enable recording switch OFF. Recording is turned on for any contact who is not in one of the two-party consent states by default. Turn this setting off if you want to disable recording across your entire account.

  • With this option turned off, the option to record will not appear when a user calls a contact from a record in HubSpot.
