How can I unmerge contacts or companies?

It is currently not possible to unmerge contacts and companies. At the same time, you can delete the second email address or company domain name from the merged record and create a new record with the email address or company domain name.

Delete additional emails in a contact record

  • Click on the name of the contact.

  • In the About card, hover over the Email property and click the pencil icon edit.
  • In the dialog box, next to the additional email address that was merged into the original record, click the Actions dropdown menu and select Delete.

You can now create a new contact with the deleted email address.

Delete merged company domain name in a company record

  • Click on the name of the company.

  • In the About card, hover over the Company domain name property and click the pencil icon edit.

  • In the dialog box, click the X for the value under Merged domain.
  • At the bottom of the screen, click Save.
You can now create a new company with the deleted company domain name.
