How do I change which activities display on a contact, company, deal, or ticket record timeline?

You can customize the timeline on a contact, company, deal, or ticket record to display specific types of information.

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Contacts, CompaniesDeals, or Tickets.
  • Click the name of the contact, company, deal, or ticket record.
  • Click the Filter activity dropdown at the upper right of the timeline.
  • Check the box(es) next to the type(s) of information you'd like to see included in the timeline. Note that for deals, companies, and tickets, the Marketing column in the filters will not appear.


You can also quickly filter between different types of activities using the tabs across the top of the record timeline. This allows you to select from all filtered timeline activity, notes, emails, calls, or tasks.
