How do I delete a contact in the CRM?

To delete a contact from HubSpot CRM, follow the instructions below. Only users with a role of Sales Administrator or Sales Manager can delete contacts at this time.

  • From your HubSpot Sales account, navigate to Contacts.
  • Search for the contact you'd like to delete and click the name of the contact.
  • Click the Actions dropdown below the contact's name and select Delete.

You can also delete contacts from the Contacts Dashboard. 

  • Navigate to Contacts
  • Check the box to the left of the contact(s) you'd like to delete. 
  • Click Delete

Please note: If you delete a contact from the CRM, all notes and activities logged on this contact record will be deleted. These will not be restored if you re-add the contact to your CRM. The only content that will be restored when re-adding the contact are email activities, since these are directly associated with the email address.
