When you're importing contacts into HubSpot, a particular contact may be listed on the file more than once. In this case, HubSpot will only import the first instance of the contact and will not import any information for additional contacts with the same email address.
Once the import is complete, this duplication will be noted in the error report. To view the error report for your import:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Contacts > Contacts.
- Click Import in the upper right corner.
- On the imports dashboard, hover over the file you have just imported and click More > Download error file.
This will open a file showing you any errors that occurred during import. For contacts that were listed more than once on the import file, you will see the message, "The email [email address] has already been processed earlier in this file."
