Where will I see email activity in HubSpot when sent either from the CRM or Marketing platform?

When an email is sent via the HubSpot CRM or the Marketing platform's email tool, the email activity will appear on the contact's timeline when viewed in either platform. 

The only time you will not see email activity on the contact's timeline is when you're viewing the contact from the Marketing platform and the email was sent using HubSpot Sales. Emails sent via Gmail or Outlook using HubSpot Sales will only show up on the contact's timeline when viewed in the HubSpot CRM.
