Why do I have to verify my email address to send emails from the CRM?

Before sending an email from a contact record in your HubSpot CRM, you will need to verify your email address. The prompt to verify your email address will look like the screenshot displays below:


Your email address needs to be verified for the following reasons:

  1. To ensure you're actively using and own the email address specified.
  2. To ensure that all emails sent are being tracked properly. 

Please note: if you are not receiving an email to verify your email address, you will want to whitelist Read this article on whitelisting addresses in order to receive emails from HubSpot.
