Why does my CSV import give me an email doesn't validate error?

This error can mean a few things:

  • There was no email entered for a contact on the CSV (HubSpot will only create contacts that contain email addresses)
  • The email address contained improper characters (such as &*;{!%)
  • There are spaces in the email address
  • There is a blank row in the CSV

Please check these criteria and if the import is still giving this error contact our Support Team.
