HubSpot automatically formats the title and meta tags for any blog topic and blog author listing pages by adding topic and author names into the titles for topic/author pages, and author bio to the description for author pages.

The formatting for a blog author page would look something like the example below:

<title>My Awesome Blog | Angela DeFranco</title>
<meta name="description" content="Angela is a writer, worker and all around artist. She attempts to take her mind off of snacking on popcorn long enough to get real work done. mmmm popcorn....">

For the topic page, HubSpot adds the topic name to the title and the description is still the blog description as set in your blog settings.

<title>My Awesome Blog | Product Management</title>
<meta name="description" content="A blog about awesomeness.">

Edit the meta description for your HubSpot blog by going to Content > Content Settings > BlogGeneral. Read more here.
