How can I link to my blog author bio page?

Last updated: May 31, 2018

Applies to:

Marketing Hub Basic, Professional, Enterprise

Your blog author's information will appear below the author name on your post and on the author bio page (if using the default blog template). To access the author page, navigate to a live post and click the author's name.

If you are unable to access your author page from your post, you may be using a custom coded blog template or the template may have been edited. To add the author link code, follow the steps below. Please be aware, however, that the instructions below involve working with custom code. If you don't have experience with code, work with a designer to ensure that the edits are done correctly.

  • In your HubSpot Marketing Hub Basic, Professional, or Enterprise account, navigate to Marketing > Files and Templates > Design Tools.
  • Click the name of your blog template.
  • In your template, click the Blog Content module.
  • In the right sidebar menu under Post Templates, click Edit post template

  • Add the author link HTML code around {{ content.blog_post_author.display_name }} as shown here:
a class="author-link" href="{{ group.absolute_url }}/author/{{ content.blog_post_author.slug }}" {{ content.blog_post_author.display_name }}
  • Click Back to template in the upper left-hand corner to return the blog template, then click Edit listing template in the right sidebar menu and add the same code.
  • Click Publish changes
