The SEO Optimization screen was designed to give you all the tools you need to make sure your blog post is the best it can be on the web for the topics you are writing about.
Access the SEO Optimization screen from any of your blog posts by clicking on the chart icon on the far left side of the blog editor.
First, enter in a keyword or two for the panel to create suggestions from. The panel will also attempt to pull a keyword from the Keyword tool in your portal based on your title. Below is an explanation of the optimization suggestions:
Keyword in Title: including a target keyword in the title of your blog post can give you an SEO boost.
Title Length: this suggests that the title is kept under 70 characters. In practice, Google will only display search engine titles up to 68 characters long.
Keywords in post body: the body of your post should include at least one of the target keywords to help search engines understand what your post is about.
Internal link check: searches for your target keyword in the title and URL of pages on your HubSpot hosted domains.
Keyword repetition in body: checks that no target keyword is repeated over 5 times.
Calls to Action: checks that there is at least one CTA in the post.
Images in post: checks that there is at least one <img> in post.
Image alt text (does not appear if no images in post): checks to make sure all images have <alt> text.
Keywords in URL: checks that at least one of the target keywords appears in your post URL.
Meta description: checks that the meta description has between 1 - 155 characters in it.
Keyword in meta description: checks that at least one of the target keywords appears in your meta description.
