Primary CSS, located in HubSpot's Design Manager, is a global stylesheet that is automatically applied to all HubSpot templates, unless otherwise removed from the template's head settings (Actions > Edit Head).

The purpose of the Primary CSS file is to give HubSpot users one centralized location for managing style declarations that are used across multiple content types and domains/sub-domains.

To locate your website's Primary CSS file:

  • Navigate in HubSpot Marketing to Content > Design Manager > Primary CSS File.
  • Here, you can make your desired edits. When you press Publish changes, your CSS is compiled into a minified CSS file called hs_default_custom_style.min.css that is attached to all of your pages.
