Why is my connected subdomain bringing me to a 404 error page?

When you connect a domain in HubSpot and set it as the primary for a specific content type you're letting servers across the globe know that when a user enters they should be looking at the HubSpot server for the requested content (your pages).

When a user enters just the domain or subdomain into the browser's address bar the request looks for a page hosted at the root level (or with a url of “/”). To configure your root/index page in HubSpot’s COS platform you need to create a page on that domain/content type that has a url of “/”, or a URL mapping that transfers all incoming requests for the root index page and redirects them to a different page, otherwise the request for the root page will produce a 404 response in the browser.
