How do I add or change the campaign associated with a sent email?

It is possible to change the campaign of a sent email, however, only the sent and opened statistics will display within the new campaign. The visit from a link clicked in an email is tied to the original Campaign based on the tracking parameters added to the URL in the sent email. It is not possible to update a visit to the new campaign, so visit data will always be associated with the original campaign.

To add a campaign to a sent email or change the campaign associated with a sent email:

  • Navigate in your HubSpot Marketing account to Content > Email and click on the name of the email you'd like to update.
  • In the upper-right corner, click Actions > Select campaign.

  • Use the dropdown to select a different campaign to associate with the email, then click Save.

Please note: If the campaign is changed after scheduling or sending, your email data will be updated to reflect this in the campaign overview. However, CTAs or links to site pages or forms that were included in your email may not.
