How do I link to a PDF after a visitor submits a Form on my Landing Page?

After a visitor submits a HubSpot form, they will expect something to happen next. As a HubSpot user, you have two options: redirect the visitor to another page or display an inline thank you message. This article covers both options.

Redirect to another page

  • Navigate to Content > Landing Pages > locate the page in question, click to Edit the page
  • Locate and click on the Form module > Find the section What should the person see after submitting the form?
  • The HubSpot best practice suggests using the option to redirect to another page containing the link to the document, often referred to as theThank You page

  • Click Done > Publish or Update your page to implement the changes live

Display an inline thank you message

An alterative option for what visitors will see after submitting the form is to display an inline thank you message. This option will keep visitors on the same page, the form will disappear, and this message will appear in its place.

  • In the page editor within the form module section What should the person see after submitting the form?  > Select Display an inline thank you message, and proceed to type your desired text below

  • Highlight the text you wish to have linked to the PDF, and click on Insert Document Link icon within the menu.

Proceed to either upload a new file or select an existing file. When ready, click on Use document.
  • Use the instructions in this article to select the file in the File Manager or upload a new file
  • Click Done > Publish or Update your page to implement the changes live
