Meetings

Why does my availability for meetings not match my connected calendar?

Marketing: N/A
Sales: Free, Starter, Professional

When using meetings with Outlook 365 and Gmail, you can still get booked via meetings if you have time blocked off as AwayTentative, Free, etc. Any time on your calendar marked as Busy will be unavailable for bookings.

Look at the instructions below to learn how to set your desired availability for both email platforms.

For Outlook 365:

In order to ensure you do not get booked for a time you're busy, make sure your calendar event is set to Show as Busy. This will work for specifically scheduled calendar events, as well as All day calendar events.

If you have an all-day event on your calendar (such as a conference) and you would still like to be available for meetings during this time, be sure that this event is set to Show as Free.

For Gmail:

In order to ensure you do not get booked for a time you're busy, make sure your calendar event is set to Show as Busy. This will work for specifically scheduled calendar events, as well as All day calendar events.

If you have an all-day event on your calendar (such as a conference) and you would still like to be available for meetings during this time, be sure that this event is set to Show as Available.

Please note: it is only possible to connect meetings to your default Gmail calendar. If you have an event on a non-default calendar set to Busy, but that time is available on your default Gmail calendar, you could be booked for that time.
