Why am I not receiving push notifications for messages in my browser?

If you are not receiving push notifications from the messages tool in your browser, check to ensure that notifications are not disabled in your browser's settings. 

Please note that this process will vary slightly across browsers. To check your notifications settings in Chrome:

  • Click the three dots in the top right corner of your browser window, then select Settings
  • Scroll down and click Show advanced settings...
  • Under Privacy, click Content Settings...
  • In the dialog box that appears, scroll down to the Notifications section and make sure that either Allow all sites to show notifications or Ask when a site wants to show notifications is selected.
