In order for the Message widget to work properly, we must ensure that 2 things are set up correctly:

  • The Messages JavaScript embed code has been added to your website.
  • Your Messages settings are configured to display on  your website

Please note: This beta version of Messages is being retired. To request access to the new beta version of Messages, which includes live chat functionality, go here and fill out the form.

First, ensure that the Messages embed code has been added to your website properly. This article walks through installing the embed code in a few of the most common content management systems.

Next, check your Messages settings. One of the available settings is Website page URL. This setting allows you to hand pick pages to display the Messages widget. If you select some specific URLs, the widget will only appear on these pages.

If you would like the Messages widget to appear on all of your website pages, then just leave the Website page URL settings empty.
