When using the prospects tool in HubSpot, you may see some unexpected or conflicting data. It's important to keep in mind when reviewing prospects data that determining the company a visit originated from is not an exact science. Occasionally, users have found that a contact appears under the wrong company in the prospects tool. There are a few possible reasons for this:
- Over 60% of internet traffic comes from mobile devices (and this number continues to increase). It is possible for a contact to connect from a different network and show up under the wrong company prospect.
- Filtering internet service providers (ISPs): by default, your prospects tool will automatically contain the filter Internet service provider | is equal to | false, so you won't have internet service providers in your prospects view. You can remove this by clicking the X on the filter or by clicking on the filter and selecting True, and then selecting Update filter.
