Tracking code is firing but there are no page views or sessions

If the HubSpot tracking code is firing on your website pages, but you do not see any new page views or sessions on your dashboard or in the sources report, you may need to change your target domain settings so that HubSpot is gathering analytics from the correct domain. 

For example, your website is hosted on www.domain.com and you have a redirect from domain.com (without the www) to www.domain.com. If your target domain is set to domain.com, then HubSpot will not be able to provide the proper analytics because the tracking code is firing on www.domain.com, not domain.com.

To change your target domain:

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon settings in the main navigation bar. 
  • On the left sidebar menu, select Reports & Analytics Tracking.
  • In the Domain field underTarget domain, enter your domain name.RA-target-domain 
  •  Click Save at the bottom to take your changes live.

If you are viewing your website from an IP address you have excluded in your Advanced Tracking settings, this can also explain why you aren't seeing page views and sessions. Verify that you are not blocking your IP address, then check your reports once more. Keep in mind that the sources report can take up to 20 minutes to update, so after visiting your site wait some time before checking to see if the data updates.
