As detailed below, when using the Page Performance tool to optimize your page, you may encounter instances when the tool indicates that it is not detecting a CTA (Call-to-Action) on the page you are reviewing.
This particular warning is caused by either of the reasons noted below:
- What seems like a CTA is actually just an image that is linked to another page. Remember that a CTA is a button, not an image.
- In cases where you embed a HubSpot CTA on an external, non-HubSpot page, the CTA's embed code may be broken. Please be aware that in order for our Page Performance tool to detect a HubSpot CTA on one of your external pages, the entire CTA's embed code needs to be embedded, down to the last character. Furthermore, if your HubSpot tracking code is not embedded on your external pages, Page Performance will not be able to detect the CTA (please make sure the tracking code is also embedded appropriately with no extraneous characters).
Please note: the Page Performance tool is not able to detect non-HubSpot CTAs on your pages (HubSpot or external pages alike).
If either of these scenarios does not fit your particular situation, please reach out to our Support Team for further assistance.
