Why does my import from Salesforce not create as many contacts as I expected?

There are a few reasons why the number of imported contacts may be less than expected:

  • If there are any records in Salesforce that do not have an email address, they will not be added to HubSpot.
  • Additionally, if there are any records that have duplicate email addresses, only one of each will be added.
  • Finally, if you are conducting an import of All Leads/Contacts/Leads and Contacts, only net new contacts will be added, meaning that those contacts already existing in HubSpot will not be included in the import.
