There are some scenarios that may cause HubSpot contacts to not sync with Salesforce. If you notice a particular contact is not syncing, first check to see if there is a message on the contact's Salesforce Sync information section.
To see this section and any information on why a contact may not be syncing with Salesforce as expected, scroll until you find the Salesforce Sync section within a specific contact record:
As a general rule, contacts will not sync to Salesforce if:
- they do not have an email address
- they have a Lifecycle Stage of Subscriber and are not on the Inclusion List
- you have an Inclusion List and they do not meet its criteria, and are therefore not eligible to sync (such as in the above example)
- they do not meet any Validation Rules that you have set up in Salesforce
If your HubSpot Contact does not appear to meet any of the above criteria, be sure to check the Sync Errors screen in HubSpot for any errors pertaining to a contact. Follow the steps listed here to access the Sync Errors screen.
