Can I attach an image to a social message when posting to LinkedIn?

As is the case with other social networks, LinkedIn posts with images are proven to generate more clicks and engagement.

Currently, you are able to directly attach an image in your LinkedIn post only when publishing to a LinkedIn company account. Attaching an image when posting to LinkedIn personal pages or groups is not possible at this time. If you are adding a link to your LinkedIn post, you will be able to select a featured image for that link when posting to either a company or a personal LinkedIn account.

  • When composing a new message in the Social tool (HubSpot MarketingSocial > Publishing), the image icon will appear only if a LinkedIn Company page has been selected. If you select a personal LinkedIn account, this option will not appear in the dropdown.

  • When you add a link to the LinkedIn message you are composing in HubSpot, you may select an image from the page being shared to be displayed as the featured image for the message.
