When connecting a Facebook or LinkedIn account using your HubSpot social tool, you may experience a connection issue where you follow the steps to connect the account, but you don't see it appear as a connected account in HubSpot.

This article covers the following:

How to resolve a Facebook account connection issue

After connecting your Facebook account, you may not see it in your social settings. Instead, you might only see your personal Facebook account but not your business pages. This typically means Facebook hasn’t sent over the correct permissions, even though you're an admin for your Facebook pages.

The steps below will force Facebook to re-send the permissions so your account will show in HubSpot. It's best to perform these steps in an incognito window to avoid browser caching issues:

  • First, ensure that you have admin permissions in Facebook.
  • Disconnect your social account from HubSpot following these instructions.
  • Log into Facebook and remove HubSpot:
    • In Facebook, navigate to the dropdown menu in the upper right-hand corner of your account and select Settings
    • On the left, click Apps and Websites.
    • Check the box next to HubSpot and click Remove.
