Why do I need to log in to my personal social media account to connect a business page to HubSpot?

In order to access any pages that you are an administrator of, you must log in to your personal Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. and authorize HubSpot to access the account.

  • HubSpot cannot access your connected pages unless you sign in using your personal credentials.
  • Once you have added your account under Social Settings, you can uncheck the box next to Allow posting to personal account, which will prevent any posts to your own profile.
