How does workflow goal criteria and unenrollment work?

When you add to or update your goal criteria in a workflow, contacts who meet the goal criteria in the future will be removed from the workflow. However, please keep in mind the following: 

  • If no changes have been made to your workflow criteria, contacts who meet the goal criteria will be unenrolled before their next workflow action. Before executing a scheduled action, HubSpot will check the contact to see whether or not they meet the goal criteria. If they meet the criteria, they will be unenrolled.
  • If the goal criteria is added or updated, the workflow will check all contacts to see if they meet the criteria when the new criteria is saved. If contacts meet the new criteria, they will be immediately unenrolled.
