HubSpot Insights on company records

HubSpot Insights is a database of company information that HubSpot gathers by combining third party data, web crawling, and crowdsourcing to ensure the data can be as accurate as possible. It is updated in real-time as we get new information.

If you add or import a company with a company domain name, data will be pulled from HubSpot Insights to update the company record. Because HubSpot Insights is pulled from multiple sources, its data may not match the data you collected on the company.

Please note: when the HubSpot Insights feature is enabled, property values on the company record may be overwritten and may also be used to improve the existing database. Disable the feature to opt out.


Properties that HubSpot Insights populates

HubSpot Insights attempts to pull data into the following default company properties:

  • Annual revenue
  • City
  • Country
  • Description
  • Industry
  • Is public
  • Name
  • Number of employees
  • Phone number
  • Postal code
  • State/Region
  • Street address
  • Street address 2
  • Time zone
  • Total money raised
  • Website URL
  • Year founded
  • Facebook company page
  • LinkedIn bio
  • LinkedIn company page
  • Twitter handle

Disable HubSpot Insights

To disable HubSpot Insights:

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon settings in the main navigation bar.
  • In the left sidebar menu, click Contacts & Companies.
  • At the top, click the Companies tab.
  • Click to toggle the Automatically fill company properties with HubSpot Insights switch off to disable HubSpot Insights.
