Migrate legacy quote templates to Revenue Hub quotes

Available with any of the following subscriptions, except where noted:

Seats required A core seat is required to migrate quote templates.

Permissions required Super Admin or Manage quote templates permissions are required to migrate quote templates.

If you're a Super Admin, you can opt your account into the Quote Template Migration Tool beta.

If you're using legacy quote templates, you can migrate them to Revenue Hub quote templates, preventing the need to create them from scratch. The migration tool creates new editable quote templates and generates a migration report showing which content and properties migrated successfully.

Before you get started

Before you begin working with this feature, make sure to fully understand the requirements and limitations of the template migration tool.

Understand limitations & considerations

  • Some legacy template elements may require manual review after migration.
  • Certain legacy functionality may not be supported in Revenue Hub quote templates.
  • After migration, review the migration report before using the new template in quotes.

Migrate a legacy quote template

  1. In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon in the top navigation bar.
  2. In the left sidebar menu, in the Data Management section, click Objects.
  3. On the Objects page, click the Select an object dropdown menu and select Quotes.
  4. At the top, click the Quote templates tab.
  5. Click Open template library.
  6. In the left sidebar, click Legacy Quote Templates.

  7. Under Your customized quote templates, hover over a template, click Actions, then select Migrate template.

  8. In the dialog box, click Migrate.
  9. After the migration is complete, review the migration summary report in the dialog box. The migration report includes the following categories:
    • Mapped: content and properties successfully migrated to the new template.
    • Needs review: content that migrated successfully but requires manual updates.
    • Not supported: legacy functionality that ins't available in quote templates.

  10. Click Open template to review and edit the migrated template. Review all migrated sections before publishing the template. Pay special attention to the following items:
    • Duplicate headings or outdated placeholder content.
    • Sections marked as needing review in the migration report.
    • Unsupported sections that must be recreated manually in the new template editor.
    • Formatting differences between the legacy and migrated templates.
