A small but important portion of the Dashboard lives just below the dashboard title. This time frame area is where you'll select the time period for which you'd like to see data. You'll see two dropdown menus, where you can choose the time frame you'd like to see and choose if you'd like to compare it to the previous time frame or the same time frame in the previous year. When selecting a current time period (e.g. This month), you have the option to show the entire month or the month to present.
You can also set a default time frame by clicking Settings > Set default date range link.
At the top of the Dashboard, you'll see your overall Marketing Performance report, which shows the following:
- Total visits for the selected time period in comparison to the previous time frame and a graphical representation of this data.
- Total new contacts created for the selected time period in comparison to the previous time frame and a graphical representation of this data.
- Total number of new contacts from the given timeframe that are now customers in comparison to the previous time frame and a graphical representation of this data.
Between visits and contacts, and contacts and customers, you'll find a grey arrow with a percentage. This percentage represents the conversion ratio. In the example below, you can see a 2.44% conversion rate for visits to contacts and a 5.16% conversion rate for contacts to customers.
This is also where you will be able to set Goals for your marketing efforts based on whatever time comparison you've decided on. Click the Set Goals button to add your goals. Once your goals have been added, you'll be able to check the Show goal line checkbox to compare your current marketing performance data to your goals.
Below the Marketing Performance information, you'll find two reports on your Landing Pages: Landing Page Performance and Top Landing Pages.
Landing Page Performance displays your total landing page views, the number of submissions, the conversion rate of views to submissions, and the total number of contacts generated within the specified time frame.Beneath each value, you'll also be able to see the increase or decrease compared to the previous time frame.
This data will also include any submissions and new contacts generated by forms on Website Pages.
Top Landing Pages displays the five top performing landing pages within in the specified time frame as well as the conversion percentage for each page.
Below Landing Pages, you'll find two reports on Blogging: Blogging Performance and Top Blog Posts.
Blogging Performance displays the total number of blog posts published, the total blog views, the number of email subscribers and the total number of RSS subscribers for the chosen time frame. Beneath each value, you'll see the increase or decrease compared to the previous time frame.
Note that this information only appears for HubSpot-hosted blogs and WordPress blogs using the HubSpot for WordPress plugin. At this time, no data will be displayed here from other blogging platforms.
Top Blog Posts displays a list of your top five most viewed blog posts along with the number of views for each within the time frame specified.
Next you'll find two reports on Email: Email Performance and Top Emails.
Note: The Email Performance and Top Emails reports do not include automated emails, only standard email campaigns sent via HubSpot. If you are using another email platform, those results will not display here.
Email Performance displays sent, opened, clicked, and clicked rate within the given time period. Beneath each value, you'll also be able to see the increase or decrease compared to the previous time period.
Top Emails shows the top performing emails along with the click rate for each within the specified time frame.
Next, you'll see details on your contacts. The Contacts portion of the dashboard shows a breakdown of your Contact Performance as well as a list of your Top Personas.
Contact Performance shows your total number of contacts, as well as the number of leads, marketing qualified leads, and customers within HubSpot. Below each total, you'll be able to see how many Leads, MQLs, and Customers you've gained compared to the previous time frame.
Top Personas displays the personas you have created in order based on the percentage of your contacts represented by each. Within this report you can also add new personas or edit your current ones, by clicking the Add persona button or clicking the name of an existing persona.
Customizing the Dashboard
Each report within the Marketing Dashboard can be resized and/or moved to fit your team's preferences. You can also rename, clone, or remove reports.
To resize a report, hover over the bottom right-hand corner until you see the dotted arrow, then click and drag to extend the report or make it smaller.
To rearrange your reports, hover over one until you see your cursor turn into a hand, then click to drag the report to the desired location on the dashboard.
You can rename, clone, or remove a report by clicking Actions in the top right-hand corner of the report then selecting from the dropdown options. If you've set goals in the Marketing Performance report, you'll also see the option to edit your goals in the dropdown for this report.
