Last updated: August 26, 2026

Available with any of the following subscriptions, except where noted:

Use Breeze Assistant in Slack to interact with your HubSpot data directly from your Slack conversations. By mentioning Breeze Assistant in a Slack channel or thread, you can use natural language to search and summarize CRM records, create and update records across all objects, manage tickets, analyze your pipeline, prepare for meetings, search HubSpot documentation, and summarize Slack threads. This helps you stay in Slack while working with your HubSpot data, without switching between tools.

Before you get started

Before you begin working with this feature, make sure to fully understand what steps should be taken ahead of time, as well as the limitations of the feature and potential consequences of using it.

Understand requirements

Understand limitations & considerations

  • You must explicitly @mention Breeze Assistant for every request. You can mention it in a Slack channel or thread.
  • Breeze Assistant doesn’t monitor channels or threads automatically.
  • Breeze Assistant can summarize only threads where it has been @mentioned. It can’t summarize entire channels or conversations where it wasn’t included.
  • You can’t use slash commands to start a conversation with Breeze Assistant. You must @mention it.

Set your active HubSpot account

If your Slack workspace is connected to multiple HubSpot accounts, you must select which HubSpot account Breeze Assistant should use in Slack. If you only have one HubSpot account connected to Slack, you can skip this step.

  1. In Slack, type the command /hs-breeze-select-portal and press Enter.
  2. In the generated prompt, select the HubSpot account you want to use.

Breeze will use the selected HubSpot account for all future requests in this Slack workspace. If you need to switch HubSpot accounts in the future, you can run the same command again.

For follow-up questions, @mention Breeze Assistant again and include your request. Breeze Assistant can use context from the surrounding channel or thread to help answer your question, but it doesn’t automatically monitor conversations.

Best practices for Breeze Assistant in Slack

  • Be specific: include record names, ticket numbers, or company names to help Breeze Assistant find the relevant record.
  • Use natural language: describe what you want in plain language. You don't need to use exact field names or API syntax.
  • Ask follow-up questions: @mention Breeze Assistant for each follow-up request and include enough context for Breeze Assistant to understand the request.
  • Combine actions: you can include multiple actions in a single request. For example, Summarize the Acme Corp deal and create a task to follow up by Friday.
