You can create a random sample of contacts or companies from a list. This is helpful if you want to create a sample size of records that meet a certain set of parameters.
To create a sample:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Lists.
- Click Actions > Random Sample.
- Enter the number of contacts or the % of contacts desired in the random sample. The value that is not filled in will auto-populate so you are aware of both the count and percentage breakdown.

- Click Create List.
- A success pop-up will appear with a link to the new list. Click Got it to close the popup.
-
To track how many random samples have been made from a list, click the source list and click Details.
