Learn a contact's marketing email subscription status

Available with any of the following subscriptions, except where noted:

You can check a contact's record to see if they have opted out of receiving all marketing emails, only those of a specific subscription type, or if they can be sent any marketing email. 

Learn if contacts have unsubscribed from all marketing emails

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Contacts.
  2. Click the name of the contact.
  3. On the contact record, click the Actions dropdown menu in the About this contact section, then select View all properties.

  1. If the Unsubscribed from all email property has a value of true, the contact is unsubscribed from all marketing emails. If the property has a value of false or is blank, the contact isn't unsubscribed from all marketing emails. 

Learn which subscriptions contacts can receive

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Contacts.
  2. Click the name of the contact.
  3. On the contact record, click View subscriptions in the Communication subscriptions section of the left column.

  1. In the right panel, each subscription type will have a value in the Status column of Subscribed or Unsubscribed.
