When creating a podcast episode in HubSpot, you can either upload your own pre-recorded audio files or use AI-generated audio. You can also [import your existing podcast](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/podcasts/import-podcast-episodes) using the podcast's RSS feed or generate podcasts from existing content using [content remix](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/blog/repurpose-content-using-ai-with-content-remix). After creating your podcasts, you can [review your published episodes](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/podcasts/review-and-manage-your-podcasts) on the podcasts page. You can also [share your podcast](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/podcasts/share-your-podcast) internally or on external platforms. Review HubSpot's [AI Trust FAQs](https://www.hubspot.com/products/artificial-intelligence/ai-trust) and [AI Model Cards](https://trust.hubspot.com/ai) for detailed information on AI security controls, data use, and compliance. ## Before you get started Permissions required [Super Admin](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/user-management/hubspot-user-permissions-guide#super-admin) or [Edit permissions for podcasts](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/user-management/hubspot-user-permissions-guide#website-tools) are required to set up and create podcasts. [Super Admin](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/user-management/hubspot-user-permissions-guide#super-admin) or [Publish permissions for podcasts](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/user-management/hubspot-user-permissions-guide#website-tools) are required to publish podcasts to live. - The number of podcasts and podcast episodes you can create depends on your account's subscription:  - If you have a *Content Hub Professional* subscription, you can create up to 5 podcast shows. Each account can have a maximum of 1,000 episodes. - If you have a *Content Hub Enterprise* subscription, you can create up to 50 podcast shows. Each account can have a maximum of 5,000 episodes. - Before creating or importing podcasts, it is strongly recommended to [connect a primary domain](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/domains-and-urls/connect-a-domain-to-hubspot) for your podcast.  - If you have a Content Hub free trial, you may not have the option to add the podcast content type to your custom primary domain. Instead, you can add the podcast content type to your existing [default system domain](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/domains-and-urls/display-system-domains-in-domain-settings). Learn more about [adding new content types to an existing domain](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/domains-and-urls/connect-a-domain-to-hubspot). ## Create a new podcast To create a new podcast: 1. In your HubSpot account, click __More__, then navigate to [__Content__ > __Podcasts__](https://app.hubspot.com/l/podcasts). If *More* doesn't appear in your account, navigate to [__Content__ > __Podcasts__](https://app.hubspot.com/l/podcasts) directly. 2. If this is your first time creating a podcast, click __Set up a podcast show__. Or, click the __Podcast show__ dropdown menu and select __+ Add a podcast show__. 3. In the right panel, set up your podcast show details:  - __Podcast show title:__ enter a unique name for your podcast. If you share your podcast, this name will appear on external audio platforms. - __Podcast show description:__ enter a description for your podcast. - __Podcast language:__ select a language for your podcast. 4. At the bottom, click __Create show__.    ## Manage and update your podcast settings After creating your podcast, you can finish setting up your podcast in your settings:  1. In your HubSpot account, click the [__settings icon__](https://app.hubspot.com/l/settings/user-preferences/profile) in the top navigation bar. 2. In the left panel, navigate to __Content__ > __Podcasts__. 3. Configure your podcast settings:  - __Podcast show title:__ enter a unique name for your podcast. If you share your podcast, this name will appear on external audio platforms. - __Podcast show description:__ enter a description for your podcast. - __Podcast host:__ select a default podcast host for your podcast. To add a new host, click the __dropdown menu__ and select __Create a new host__. - __Name:__ enter the name of the podcast host. - __Bio:__ enter a biography for the podcast host. - __Image:__ add an image for the podcast host. The image must be in a square aspect ratio. - __Podcast owner's email:__ enter an email address for the podcast owner. Email is required for verification by platforms such as Spotify and will be visible on the RSS feed. - __Podcast show artwork:__ upload an image for your podcast thumbnail. You can also use AI to generate an image based on a prompt. It is recommended to use a square image, your podcast show artwork should be a maximum of 2MB. - __Podcast show categories:__ select up to two unique categories for your podcast. - __Explicit content warning:__ turn this option on to add a flag if episodes in your podcast contain explicit content such as profanity or subjects unsuitable for children. 4. At the bottom left, click __Save__.    ## Create a new podcast episode After creating your podcast, add podcast episodes to your show. To create a new episode for your podcast: 1. In your HubSpot account, click __More__, then navigate to [__Content__ > __Podcasts__](https://app.hubspot.com/l/podcasts). If *More* doesn't appear in your account, navigate to [__Content__ > __Podcasts__](https://app.hubspot.com/l/podcasts) directly. 2. In the top left, click the __Podcast show__ dropdown menu and select a __podcast__. 3. In the top right, click __Create episode__. 4. In the editor, choose how you'd like to start creating your podcast episode. Select __Upload Existing Audio__ or __Generate Audio From Text__. - This will determine whether you start with an audio file section or an AI-generated audio section. - After setting up your initial section, you can mix and match both audio file sections and AI-generated sections within the same episode.    5. To set up an audio file section:  - In the top left, click the edit __pencil icon__. Then, enter a __name__ for your section. - - In the *Audio source* section, you can upload a new audio file or browse and select from your existing audio files.  - To upload a new audio file, click __Upload__. Then, select a __file__ from the file picker. - To use an existing audio file, click __Browse__. In the right panel, select an existing audio file and click __Insert__. - To add another section, hover over the top section and click __+ Add text to speech section__ or __+ Add audio clip__.    6. To set up an AI-generated audio section: - In the top left, click the edit __pencil icon__. Then, enter a __name__ for your section. - Click the __AI voice__ dropdown menu and select a __voice__. - You can select from six different AI-generated voices based on dialect and register. For example, you may want to choose *Fable* for an English-British dialect with a conversational tone, or *Alloy* for an English-American dialect with an engaging tone. - To preview the voice, click the __play icon__ next to the voice. - - Enter your __podcast content__ in the text box below. - To preview your content, click __Generate audio preview__. - To add another section, hover over the top section and click __+ Add text to speech section__ or __+ Add audio clip__.  7. After setting up your different podcast sections:  - To expand all sections, in the top right, click the __dropdown menu__ and select __Expand all__. - - To collapse all sections, in the top right, click the __dropdown menu__ and select __Expand all__. - To expand or collapse a specific section, click the __icon__ to the left of the section. - To rearrange your sections, click the dragHandle__drag icon__ next to the section that you want to move. Then, drag and drop the __section__ to the desired location. - - You can only delete expanded sections. In the top left of the section, click __Delete__.  08. After setting up your podcast content and audio, click __Generate full episode audio__ to preview your content. 09. After adding an audio file or AI-generated audio, at the top, click the __Episode details__ tab. 10. In the *Episode details* tab, set up your podcast episode details: - __Title:__ enter a name for your podcast episode. - __Show Notes:__ enter a description for your episode. - __Artwork:__ add an image for your episode artwork. You can also use AI to generate a description based on a prompt. This is optional. If you choose not to add episode-specific artwork, your default podcast show artwork will be displayed instead. - __Explicit content warning:__ turn this option on to add a flag if episodes in your podcast contain explicit content such as profanity or subjects not suitable for children. - __Transcript:__ you can manually upload a VTT file to use as a transcript or generate a transcript using AI assistants. You can also download generated transcripts in VTT format. - To upload a transcript, in the *Transcript* section, click __Upload__. Then, select your __VTT file__. - To automatically generate a transcript, in the *Transcript* section click __Generate__ or the artificialIntelligence __icon__. A transcript will be generated based on your podcast episode audio. - To download your generated transcript, click the __verticalMenumenu icon__ and select __Download__. - To replace your generated transcript with a VTT file, click the __verticalMenumenu icon__ and select __Upload VTT file__. - To delete a transcript, click the __verticalMenumenu icon__ and select __Delete__. - After adding a transcript, in the top right, click __Update__. __Please note:__ it is not possible to edit a transcript in the podcast editor. To edit a transcript, download the transcript and edit it in a text editor such as Notepad or Text Edit. Then, save it in VTT format and re-upload the edited file.    - - - Marketing campaign: associate the podcast episode with a marketing [campaign](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/campaigns/understand-campaigns). 11. After setting up your podcast episode details, in the top right, click __Publish__. 12. To publish your podcast at a later date and time: - - In the top right, click the __dropdown arrow__ next to the publish button. Then, select __Scheduling options__. - In the dialog box, click the __date__ and __time__ dropdown menus to schedule your podcast. By default, the publish date and time will be based on your [HubSpot account's time zone](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/account-management/change-your-language-and-region-settings#customize-your-account-time-zone). After publishing your podcast episode, learn how to [share your podcast](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/podcasts/share-your-podcast) on HubSpot pages or external platforms.     ### Use AI to generate episode details based on your transcript After manually uploading or generating your transcript, you can use AI to generate a podcast title, description, or artwork, based on the transcript and other related content. If you did not add a transcript, this option will not appear.  1. In your HubSpot account, click __More__, then navigate to [__Content__ > __Podcasts__](https://app.hubspot.com/l/podcasts). If *More* doesn't appear in your account, navigate to [__Content__ > __Podcasts__](https://app.hubspot.com/l/podcasts) directly. 2. Click on the __name__ of your podcast. 3. At the top, click the __Episode details__ tab. 4. To generate a title: - In the *Title* section click the artificialIntelligence __icon__. - In the right panel, you can review the title options. To generate new titles from the same keywords, click __Generate new title__. The new titles will appear at the bottom of the list. - - Select the __radio button__ next to the title you'd like to use. - After selecting your title, at the bottom, click __Update episode title__.    5. To generate an episode description: - In the *Episode description* section click the artificialIntelligence __icon__. The new episode description will appear directly in the text box. - To generate a new description, click the __regenerate icon__. Please note: generating or regenerating will overwrite all existing content in your *Episode description* text box.  6. To generate episode artwork: - In the *Artwork* section click __Generate with AI__. If you've already added artwork, this option will not appear. To generate new artwork, in the top right click __Remove__ to remove the existing artwork first. - In the right panel, in the *Describe your image* text box, you can review and edit the __prompt__. - To use an image as reference to generate a prompt, in the top right, click the __image icon__. A prompt will automatically be generated based on the image. - To select a specific art style, click the __Style__ dropdown menu and select an __art style__. - To determine your image resolution, click the __Quality__ dropdown menu and select from __Auto__, __Low__, __Medium__, or __High__. - At the bottom, click __Generate__. - Hover over the image that you'd like to use and select the __checkbox__.
