Use AI assistants to create social posts

In HubSpot's social tool, input prompts into AI assistants to automatically generate content for your social posts. You can also use AI assistants to refine your social posts or create social posts from blog posts.

AI assistants are accessible with the social tool when creating social posts on desktop or in the HubSpot mobile app. Learn more about generating content with AI assistants. 

Please note: Please avoid sharing any sensitive information in your prompts. To improve the product, HubSpot logs and stores your prompts, generated language, and usage metrics when you use AI assistants. HubSpot shares your prompts with OpenAI in order to enable your use of this tool and OpenAI will store your prompts for content moderation purposes. Your prompts will be attributable to you. By using AI assistants in beta, you agree to comply with HubSpot’s Beta Terms as well as OpenAI’s Usage Policies, Content Policy, and Sharing & Publication Policy.

Create social posts with AI assistants on desktop

To use AI assistants when creating a social post on desktop:

• In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Social.
• In the upper right, click Create social post. 
• Under the Create your posts section, in the text box, click the artificialIntelligence AI assistant icon. 
• In the dialog box, enter the content for your social posts. Then, click Generate. You can generate content 30 times each minute and 1,000 times each day. 

• • After generating your post, you can increase or decrease the length of your post: 
    • To increase the length of the post, hover over the post and click the enlarge expand icon. 
    • To decrease the length of the post, hover over the post and click the exitFullScreen shrink icon. 
  • To generate another post from the same prompt, click Generate again. To review the generated posts, click the left right arrow icon. 
  • To use the generated post, click Insert. In the editor, you can continue editing the post text, or publish the post directly.
    
    

• To refine existing text in a post with AI assistants: 
  • Under the Create your posts section, in the text box, highlight the text you want to generate content for, then click the artificialIntelligence AI assistant icon and select a highlight command:
    • Rewrite: generates a different wording of the highlighted text. 
    • Expand: elaborates on the content of the highlighted text. 
    • Summarize: condenses the highlighted text.
    • Change tone: rewrites the highlighted text in one of the following tone options: Friendly, Professional, Witty, Heartfelt, or Educational. 
  • Click Generate to generate a new version of the text. You can generate 5 versions of the existing texts. 

• • To generate another post from the same prompt, click Generate again. To review the generated posts, click the left right arrow icon at the bottom of the dialog box. 
  • To use the generated post, click Insert. 
• Continue creating your social post. If a post is published with generated content that has been edited, the published post will be labeled AI assisted. If a post is published with only generated content, it will be labeled AI generated. 

Generate social posts from blog posts

After creating a blog post, use artificial intelligence with AI assistants to generate a summary to use in your social posts and promote your content. 

• In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Blog.
• Hover over the blog post you want to summarize and click More > Share.

• In the right panel, click the artificialIntelligence AI assistant icon. 
• In the dialog box, select the Summarize blog content checkbox. Then, click Generate to generate a summary social post for the blog. 

• Click Generate again to generate a new version of the text. You can generate 6 versions of the existing text. 
• After generating your post, you can increase or decrease the length of your post: 
  • To increase the length of the post, hover over the post and click the enlarge expand icon. 
  • To decrease the length of the post, hover over the post and click the exitFullScreen shrink icon. 

• To generate another post from the same prompt, click Generate again. To review the generated posts, click the left right arrow icon at the bottom of the dialog box. 
• To use the generated post, click Insert. 
• Continue creating your social post. If a post is published with generated content that has been edited, the published post will be labeled AI assisted. If a post is published with only generated content, it will be labeled AI generated. 
  
  

Create social posts with AI assistant on HubSpot's mobile app

While on the go, you can input prompts into AI assistants to automatically generate content for your social posts in HubSpot's mobile app. To use AI assistants when creating a social post on HubSpot's mobile app:

• Open the HubSpot app on your device.
• In the bottom, tap Menu.
• In the Marketing section, tap Social.
• At the bottom, tap the + plus icon. Then, tap Social post.
• Select the checkboxes next to the names of the social network accounts that you want to publish to.
• In the text box, tap the generate icon.
   

• In the What is your post about? text box, enter the content for your social posts. Then, click Generate. Your description must include at least 2 words. 
• To generate another post, tap Generate more. You can generate up to 6 options. 
• To review the different generated options, swipe left and right.
• After selecting an option, tap Insert to use this option. In the editor, you can continue editing the post text, or publish the post directly. 
  • If you change your mind and would like to insert a different option, you will need to manually remove the old post first. If not, any new content will be inserted into the existing post.

• • To insert more content in an existing post, tap the area in the post where you'd like the new content to display before generating content. Any new content will be inserted in the selected area. 

• Continue creating your social post. If any of the generated options are used, the post will be automatically labeled AI assisted.
