Assign domain publishing permissions to teams

You can assign publishing permissions for connected subdomains to teams. This simplifies the publishing process for large organizations with different teams publishing content on the same content tools.

Before you begin working with this feature, make sure to fully understand what steps should be taken ahead of time, as well as the limitations of the feature and potential consequences of using it.

  • To assign a domain to a team, a Marketing Hub or Content Hub Enterprise subscription is required.
  • If a user selects a subdomain in the Settings tab of the content editor that they don't have permission to publish on, the Publish/Update button will be inactive.
  • This setting assigns the subdomains teams are allowed to use for publishing content. To control the content users see in their content dashboard, learn how to assign content access.

Assign a domain to a team

  1. In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.
  2. On the left sidebar, navigate to Content > Domains & URLs.
  3. On the Domain stab, click the Actions dropdown menu for the domain you want to assign and select Assign teams.

  1. In the right side panel, select Select teams who can edit.
  2. In the Search dropdown menu, enter the name of the team or select the checkboxes next to each team you want to have publishing permissions on the subdomain.
  3. When finished, click Save.
