Block form submissions from specific email domains or free email providers

Block visitors from submitting a HubSpot form if they enter an email address using a free email provider or a specific email domain. Blocking free email providers, such as Gmail or Yahoo, can help limit form submissions to business contacts. Blocking specific email domains can help reduce spam or unwanted form submissions. When a visitor enters a blocked domain in the Email form field, they'll be prompted to enter a different email address before they can submit the form.

Blocked email domains are configured on each individual form. 

Block email domains in the updated form editor

1. In your HubSpot account, click More, then navigate to Marketing > Forms. If More doesn't appear in your account, navigate to Marketing > Forms directly.
2. Create a new form or hover over an existing form and click Edit.
3. In the left sidebar, click the settings settings icon.
4. In the left panel, click the Submission settings tab.
   • To block specific domains, enter domains in the Email domains to block field. 
   • To block submissions from HubSpot's default list of free domains, toggle the Block free email providers switch on.
5. In the top right, click Review and update.

Block email domains in the legacy form editor

1. In your HubSpot account, click More, then navigate to Marketing > Forms. If More doesn't appear in your account, navigate to Marketing > Forms directly.
2. Hover over a form and click Edit. 
3. In the form editor, hover over the Email field and click the edit edit icon.
4. In the Email domains to block field, enter the domains you want to block.
   • Each domain should be separated by commas.
   • Enter only the root domain without the www prefix or @ symbol. For example, enter gmail.com, not www.gmail.com or @gmail.com.
5. To block HubSpot's default list of free domains, select the Block free email providers checkbox.
6. In the top right, click Update or Publish.
