Use the Segment membership filter in a new segment to combine the records in multiple existing segments. For example, you have separate segments of contacts you've met at each of your company's events from the past year. You can merge the separate event segments to have a full segment of contacts met at this year's events.
If you want to combine specific records instead of segments, learn how to merge records.
Permissions required Edit Segment permissions are required to create segments and edit segment filters.
- In your HubSpot account, click More, then navigate to CRM > Segments. If More doesn't appear in your account, navigate to CRM > Segments directly.
- Create a new segment.
- Click + Add filter.
- Click Memberships, then select Segment membership.
- Select the name of the first segment you want to combine.
- By default, is member of segment will be selected. This means records will be included in the new segment if they are included in the selected segment.
- To include records if they're in any of the selected segments (i.e. a member of segment one or segment two or segment three), click the and dropdown menu, then select or. Learn more about criteria logic.
- Select the name of the next segment.
- Repeat for each of the segments you want to combine.
- Finish setting up the segment.
