Test and control agent credit usage

Last updated: August 17, 2026

Available with any of the following subscriptions, except where noted:

Simulate agent runs without consuming credits to estimate HubSpot Credit costs, then set monthly run limits to control how often agents run. Since credit costs vary by agent complexity, simulating runs before going live helps you plan usage and avoid unexpected charges.

Before you get started

Estimated credit costs per run are calculated based on the agent's current run and complexity. This can sometimes vary from the actual costs of each agent's run.

Please note: on July 23, 2026, all agents started consuming HubSpot Credits and all agents accessible in the agent builder became available to accounts with a Professional or Enterprise subscription. It's strongly recommended to simulate runs to estimate credit costs per execution and set monthly run limits for your agents to avoid unexpected charges.

Run agent simulations without consuming credits

Run simulations for individual agents. This allows you to test an agent, including reading CRM context, without consuming credits. You'll see the input, agent reasoning and activity, and the agent output. The output display mirrors a regular agent run, without taking CRM actions or making any changes. If configured, the agent may run MCP tools, so it's recommended to use sample input data.

To run an agent simulation:

  1. In your HubSpot account, click More, then navigate to Agents > Agent Hub. If More doesn't appear in your account, navigate to Agents > Agent Hub directly.
  2. Click the Agents tab.
  3. Click Edit on an agent card.
  4. In the upper right, click Test.
  5. Enter the required details to test the agent.
  6. Click Test agent to start the agent run.
