Password protect a page
Last updated: October 13, 2020
You can password protected a HubSpot page to control who can view the content on a specific landing page or website page. This is often useful when creating thank you pages and resource download pages.
Before you get started
- When you protect a page with a password, visitors to the page URL will see your Password prompt page first. After entering the page password, visitors will be able to view your page content. You can manage your password prompt page template in your website settings within your account settings.
- Password protecting a page will block it from search engines, but it won't encrypt any sensitive data. If you have links to other pages on the password protected page, those links will all be accessible without a password unless you password protect those pages too.
- The password protection feature is not available for blog posts. CMS Hub Enterprise accounts can control audience access to pages and entire blogs based on list membership or password protection.
Password protect a page

- Click Advanced Options.
