Connect HubSpot to Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Available with any of the following subscriptions, except where noted:

Please note: if you're a Super Admin, opt your account into the Data Studio beta to use this feature.

HubSpot Credits required for certain features syncing data directly from a single warehouse source in Data Studio to the HubSpot CRM doesn't consume HubSpot Credits. If you prepare the data in Data Studio before syncing (for example, by creating calculated fields or joining it with other data sources), those actions consume HubSpot Credits.

Summary

Connect HubSpot to Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics to export selected HubSpot CRM data to native tables in an Azure Synapse dedicated SQL pool. You can select the objects, associations, events, and sync schedule for each destination.

Before you get started

Understand requirements

You need the following:

  • An Azure Synapse workspace with a running dedicated SQL pool.
  • A database in the dedicated SQL pool for HubSpot's exported data.
  • A Microsoft Entra ID service principal.
  • A user for the service principal in the selected Synapse database.
  • The required permissions to create and manage HubSpot-owned schemas and tables.

The Microsoft Entra ID service principal must be able to:

  • Create schemas.
  • Create tables.
  • Insert rows.
  • Rename or alter HubSpot-owned tables.
  • Delete HubSpot-owned tables and schemas.

HubSpot creates and manages a separate schema for each destination. Don't modify objects in this schema directly.

Please note: Azure Synapse Data Out supports dedicated SQL pools only. Serverless SQL pools aren't supported.

Understand network requirements

The Azure Synapse dedicated SQL endpoint must be reachable from HubSpot over TCP port 1433. HubSpot uses TLS, and the server certificate is validated.

If your Synapse workspace uses firewall or network restrictions, allow inbound access from the HubSpot Synapse egress addresses for your account region.

Region IP range
NA1 54.174.62.128/26

Install the Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics app

It's recommended to open your HubSpot and Azure consoles in separate browser tabs.

  1. In the HubSpot App Marketplace, search for Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics.
  2. Click Install.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Enter the required Microsoft Entra ID information:
    • Tenant ID.
    • Client ID.
    • Client secret.
  5. Click Connect to Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics.

Connect HubSpot to your Synapse database

  1. In the Permissions section, copy the displayed SQL template.
  2. Replace the placeholder with the name of your Microsoft Entra ID service principal.
  3. Run the SQL statements in your selected Synapse database.
  4. In the Destination section, enter the following information:
    • Dedicated SQL endpoint.
    • Database name.

Use the dedicated SQL endpoint in the following format:

<workspace-name>.sql.azuresynapse.net

Don't use the serverless SQL endpoint:

<workspace-name>-ondemand.sql.azuresynapse.net
  1. Make sure the selected dedicated SQL pool is running.
  2. Click Test connection.
  3. If the connection test is successful, click Next.

Please note: a paused or unavailable dedicated SQL pool can cause the connection test or a sync to fail.

Configure the sync

  1. Select the data sources to export.
  2. Select the objects, associations, and events to include.
  3. Select the sync frequency and start time.
  4. Click Start sync.

Monitor the sync

To view sync details, including the sync status, last sync, errors, sync activity, and sync history:

  1. In your HubSpot account, click More, then navigate to Data Management > Data Integration. If More doesn't appear in your account, navigate to Data Management > Data Integration directly.
  2. Click App Syncs.

From the sync details page, you can:

  • Pause the sync.
