Analyze your podcast performance

After publishing your podcast, analyze your podcast's performance using podcast reports. You can review your overall show performance, the podcast's top episodes, and more.
Please note: podcast analytics data will only be available for podcasts published
after August 15, 2024.
Review your podcast reports
To review your podcast reports:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Podcasts.
- In the top left, click the Podcast show dropdown menu and select a podcast.
- At the top, click the Analyze tab.
- In the top left, configure your reports:
- Date range: filter your podcast performance data by date range. When filtering by date range, this data will be based on the podcast's listen dates.
- Frequency: set your podcast data frequency to daily, monthly, or weekly.
- Review the following podcast reports:
- Show performance: the podcast's overall performance over time. This report will display the number of plays for HubSpot pages and external platforms based on the frequency set in the report filters.
- Top episodes: the podcast's top episodes by count of plays. This does not account for unique listeners.

- Website plays by country: the count and percentage of website plays by the listener's country. This does not include plays by external platforms such as Spotify or Apple podcasts.

- Website plays by device: the count and percentage of website plays by device, such as desktop or mobile devices. This does not include plays by external platforms such as Spotify or Apple podcasts.

- Website plays by page: the count of website plays on your HubSpot pages. This does not include plays by external platforms such as Spotify or Apple podcasts.

- Website listeners: the number of known listeners for your podcast. This report will only include plays by known contacts, which can require analytics consent to track if the cookie banner is enabled.

- External plays: the count of plays and downloads via any other podcast apps or platforms such as Spotify or Apply podcasts over time.

- External plays by platform: the count of external plays by platform.
Please note: you may notice a discrepancy between the website plays and website listeners metrics. The number of website plays includes both unknown visitors and known contacts while the number of website listens will only include known contacts.
Save or export your podcast report data
You can save or export your report data:- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Podcasts.
- In the top left, click the Podcast show dropdown menu and select a podcast.
- At the top, click the Analyze tab.
- To save a report to the reports tool:
- In the top left, click Actions. Then, select Save report.

- Enter a report name.
- Enter a report description.

- Select the radio button to confirm whether you'd like to add the report to a dashboard:
- Don't add to dashboard: HubSpot won't add the report to any of your dashboards, but will save the report to your report library so you can use it later.
- Add to existing dashboard: you can select an existing dashboard to add the report to.
- Add to new dashboard: you can create a new custom dashboard and add the social report to the new dashboard. Click next, then enter a name and select a visibility option.
- Click Save or Save & add if you've chosen to add the report to a dashboard.
- Select the radio button to confirm whether you'd like to add the report to a dashboard:
- To export any report data externally:
- In the top left, click Actions. Then, select Export.
- In the dialog box, enter your export name.
- Click the file format dropdown menu and select csv, xls, or xlsx.
- At the bottom, click Export. The export file will be emailed to your user email address.
