Generate marketing emails with AI email creation

You can use AI email creation to generate an email designed for a target audience to take a specific action. The email will use the layout of an existing email or template and include the following: subject line, preview text, body, and CTAs.

Please note: Please avoid sharing any sensitive information in your enabled data inputs for AI features, including your prompts. Admins can configure generative AI features in account management settings. Before you get started

Before you begin working with this feature, make sure to fully understand what steps should be taken ahead of time, as well as the limitations of the feature and potential considerations of using it. 

Understand requirements

• To use AI email creation, you will need to turn on Give users access to generative AI tools and features in your AI settings.
• For more personalized results, it's recommended to also turn on CRM data, Customer conversation data, and Files data in your AI settings. 

Understand limitations and considerations

• You can generate content up to 1,000 times per day.
• Prompts have a maximum length of 4,000 characters.
• Keep in mind the following best practices for AI-generated content: 
  • Proofread and edit your AI-generated content before publishing it.
  • Edit AI-generated content to maintain your brand's voice and style.
  • Balance the use of AI-generated content with content written by a human.
  • Verify the accuracy of generated content, especially statistics, facts, or content not generated in English.

Generate marketing emails 

1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Email.
2. Hover over an existing email and click the Clone dropdown menu and select Clone with AI. To start from scratch, click Create with AI in the top right. 
3. In the Tell us about your email section, fill in the following sections of the prompt, being as specific as possible: 
   • Target audience: a description of the recipients you're targeting with this email. For example: "working professionals aged 30-45 who are new to our brand and want to improve work-life balance."
   • Take action: what you want recipients to do after receiving this email. For example: "Use the included 20% discount code in the next week."
   • Key information: a description of the product or service you're documenting in this email and key information about it. This could include prices, dates, locations, links, and benefits of using your product or service.
4. To use an existing template for the layout, click the Use a template dropdown menu in the Layout section and select a template. 
5. To copy the layout of an existing email, select Clone an existing email in the Layout section. Click the dropdown menu and select an email. 
6. In the bottom right, click Generate email. 
7. Edit, configure, and send your email.
