Configure your account’s AI settings to use different generative AI features in HubSpot and tailor your AI-generated content to your organization.
Please note: Please avoid sharing any sensitive information in your input (also known as “prompts”) to AI features. To improve the product, HubSpot logs and stores your prompts, generated language, and usage metrics when you use AI features. HubSpot shares your prompts with our AI service providers in order to enable your use of this tool and they will store your prompts for content moderation purposes and to comply with legal obligations. Before you get started
When managing your AI settings, please note the following:
- To manage AI settings, you must have super admin permissions.
- You can turn off generative AI features and data access in your HubSpot account at any time by setting the corresponding toggles to off.
- Whether the following access options are turned on or off will depend on whether you’ve previously configured your settings before.
- If you have never configured your AI settings, the following options will be turned on by default: Give users access to generative AI tools and features, CRM data,Customer Conversation data, and Copilot access.
- If you have previously configured your AI settings, the options turned on will generally depend on the following:
- Content Prompts will correspond to Give users access to generative AI tools and features.
- Customer analysis will correspond to Customer Conversation Data.
- Files will correspond to File Data.
- Copilot will remain the same.
Manage your AI features settings
To use generative AI features in your HubSpot tools, you must turn on your AI settings in the Access tab.
- In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, in the Account management section, navigate to AI.
- In the Access tab of your AI settings, configure the following:
- Give users access to generative AI tools and features: click to toggle the switch on to let the users in your account access generative AI features such as generating text and media content using prompts. By default, this setting will be toggled on.
- This setting must be turned on to use any generative AI features, including Copilot.
- To generate outputs relevant to your company, it is strongly recommended to turn on additional data access such as Standard CRM properties, Customer Conversation Data, and File Data.
- CRM data: allows AI access to metadata and user-generated content such as CRM records and default properties. By default, this setting will be toggled on.
- Customer Conversation Data: allows AI to summarize and respond to customer conversations such as call transcripts, emails, and more. By default, this setting will be toggled on.
- Files data: allows AI to use file data from public files or files stored in your HubSpot account's files tool. By default, this setting will be toggled off.
- Give users access to Copilot: click to toggle the Copilot switch on to let the users in your account access the Copilot experience. By default, this setting will be toggled on.
- To personalize Copilot, it is recommended to turn on Generative AI and additional data access such as Standard CRM properties, Customer Conversation Data, and File Data.
- Give users access to generative AI tools and features: click to toggle the switch on to let the users in your account access generative AI features such as generating text and media content using prompts. By default, this setting will be toggled on.
Manage your AI data sources
To ensure that the content generated aligns with your company, you can configure your AI data sources. The AI data sources will used when generating content with agents such as social agent.
- In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon in the top navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, in the Account management section, navigate to AI.
- In the Data sources tab of your AI settings, configure the following to tailor the AI-generated content to your organization:
- Brand Kits: set up your company’s branding. Learn more about editing your company’s logo, favicon, and brand colors.
- Company Profile: enter your company name, company domain, and industry.
- Ideal Customer Profile: enter details such as industry, location, and more to set up your ideal customer profile.
- Marketing Strategy: select from marketing goals such as brand awareness, engagement, or more. You can select up to 2 marketing goals.
- Products and Services: enter the details for your company’s products and services. You can also add individual products and services.
- User Profile: set up your name and job title. By default, this should match your personal account preferences.
