HubSpot's default line item properties

Line item properties store information about line items such as their terms, amount, and billing date. Reference the default line item property names, definitions, and groups below. If you want to use custom properties with line items, learn how to create custom line item properties

Please note: your account may use personalized names for each object (e.g., account instead of company). This article refers to objects by their HubSpot default names.


Billing

  • Billing start date: the recurring billing start date for a line item.
  • Delayed billing start by days: the number of days billing should be delayed by.
  • Delayed billing start by months: the number of months billing should be delayed by. 
  • Start billing terms: the type of billing start delay. It can be a fixed date in the future, or delayed by a number of days or months. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Term: the duration of the billing term. For example, if a monthly line item has 12 fixed payments, the value would be 12.

Line item information

  • Allow buyer selected quantity: a boolean value for whether a buyer can select the line item quantity. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Create Date: the date the line item was created.
  • Created by user ID: the user who created this record. This value is set automatically by HubSpot.
  • Currency: the currency code for the line item. Learn more about using multiple currencies.
  • Description: the full description of the line item.
  • Image URL: the URL of an uploaded line item image.
  • Last Modified Date: the date any property on the line item was modified. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Merged record IDs: the list of record IDs that have been merged into this record. This value is set automatically by HubSpot.
  • Name: the name of the line item.
  • Object create date/time: the date and time at which this object was created. This value is automatically set by HubSpot and may not be modified.
  • Owner: the owner of the line item.
  • Owner assigned date: the most recent timestamp of when an owner was assigned to this record. This value is set automatically by HubSpot.
  • Owner's main team: the main team of the record owner. This value is set automatically by HubSpot.
  • Product type: the type of product. By default, categorize your product as Inventory, Non-Inventory or Service.
  • Record ID: the unique ID for this record. This value is set automatically by HubSpot.
  • Record source: how this record was created. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Record source detail 1: the first level of detail on how this record was created. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Record source detail 2: the second level of detail on how this record was created. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Record source detail 3: the third level of detail on how this record was created. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • SKU: the unique product identifier.
  • Updated by user ID: the user who last updated this record. This value is set automatically by HubSpot.
  • URL: the URL of the line item listing on a website.
  • Variant id of the product: variant ID of the Shopify product. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.

Price

  • Annual contract value: the annual contract value (ACV) of this product. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Annual contract value margin: the margin annual contract value (ACV) of this product, minus the cost of goods sold. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Annual recurring revenue: the annual recurring revenue (ARR) of this product. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Annual recurring revenue margin: the margin annual recurring revenue (ARR) of this product, minus the cost of goods sold. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Billing frequency: how often a line item with recurring billing is billed. It informs the pricing calculation for deals and quotes. Line items with one-time billing aren't included.
  • Billing terms: the line item can have a fixed number of payments or automatically renew until cancelled. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Calculated Total Discount: the calculated total discount for the line item taking in consideration the unit discount amount and discount percentage. Learn more about discount types. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Discount Percentage: the discount percentage applied.
  • Effective Unit Price: the price that gets applied to this line item when volume or graduated tier pricing is used. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Margin: the margin value of this product. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Monthly recurring revenue: the monthly recurring revenue (MRR) of this product. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Monthly recurring revenue margin: the margin monthly recurring revenue (MRR) of this product, minus the cost of goods sold. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Net price: the amount of a line item. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Net Price after tax: the amount of line item after applying tax. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Number of payments: the number of payments for the given period on a line item. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Pre Discount Amount: the pre-discount amount of a line item. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Pricing model: defines the pricing model as either 'flat' or one of three tiered options. Learn more about pricing tiers.
  • Quantity: the number of units of a product in the line item.
  • Tax amount: the amount of tax calculated based on tax rate for this line item. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Tax category: the tax category used to determine what amount of tax to automatically apply to this line item.
  • Tax rate: the tax rate used on the line item.
  • Total contract value: the total contract value (TCV) of this product. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Total contract value margin: the margin total contract value (TCV) of this product, minus the cost of goods sold. This is automatically updated by HubSpot.
  • Unit cost: the cost of the line item to you.
  • Unit discount: the unit discount amount applied to the line item.
  • Unit price: the price of the line item for the buyer.
