Attach content to a topic

Use the Optimize section in the content editor to associate your pages or blog posts with SEO topics and pillar pages. Adding content to a topic organizes your site and clarifies relationships between pages or posts, and supporting content. Learn more about topics and subtopics in content strategy.
Please note: creating topic clusters in HubSpot does not affect your website's SEO directly.

Navigate to your content:
- Website Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Website Pages.
- Landing Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Landing Pages.
- Blog: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Blog.
- Click the name of the content.
- In the content editor, click the gauge Optimize icon in the left sidebar.
- To attach the content to a topic:
- To add an existing topic, click the Topic dropdown menu and select a topic for your page.
- To create a new topic, click the Topic dropdown menu and select Add core topic. In the dialog box, enter the topic, then click Save
- To attach the content to a subtopic keyword:
- Select the Is this supporting content? checkbox.
- To add an existing keyword, click the Subtopic keyword dropdown menu and select a subtopic keyword
- To create a new keyword, click the Subtopic keyword dropdown menu and click Add subtopic keyword. In the dialog box, enter the subtopic keyword, then click Save.
- When finished, click Attach to topic.
- To take your changes live, click Publish or Update in the top right.
