Opt out of HubSpot's machine learning data use
Last updated: April 14, 2026
HubSpot uses machine learning to provide automatic insights and functionality in tools across your Hub. For example, machine learning powers functionalities such as CRM deduplication, search, and the mobile business card scanner.
These machine learning processes use customer data (as defined in the HubSpot Customers Terms of Service) to provide better results to all users.
Your data will remain safe and secure, regardless of whether your data is used as part of HubSpot's machine learning processes. Data is never shared between HubSpot users or accounts. For more information on how your data is protected, please review HubSpot's Security documentation.
You can control whether HubSpot uses your account's customer data to train its AI models by using the AI model training switch. Super Admins can turn off the AI Model Training switch in your account's AI settings. This gives you immediate, self-serve control without needing to contact HubSpot.
When this setting is turned off, HubSpot initiates a process to update the data used for AI model training. This process takes up to one week to complete. Once complete, the account’s customer data will no longer be used to train its machine learning models. Turning this setting off doesn't limit your access to AI features.
Accounts with Sensitive Data turned on are opted out of AI model training by default and can't opt in.
