Create and sync ad conversion events with your TikTok account

After you connect your TikTok ad account, you can configure ad conversion events so TikTok receives conversion data from your HubSpot CRM through the TikTok Events API.

Once this connection is in place, HubSpot will automatically send conversion signals to TikTok when key CRM events occur—such as a contact’s lifecycle stage updating or a form submission. TikTok then uses these conversion insights to identify more prospects who resemble your highest-quality leads, strengthening ad targeting and improving campaign performance over time.

This automated loop continuously sharpens ad targeting, directly turning engagement into predictable, high-ROI campaign performance.

Create ad conversion events

The number of ad conversion events you can create depends on your HubSpot subscription. Please review Ad management under HubSpot’s Product & Services Catalog for the most up-to-date pricing and packaging information.

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Ads.

  2. Click Create, then select Event.
  3. Choose the type of conversion event:
    • Sync lifecycle stage change: select which lifecycle stages trigger the event.
    • Sync form submissions: select which forms trigger the event.
  4. Choose your connected TikTok ad account. Click Next.
  5. Select the specific form or lifecycle stage that you would like to send as signals to TikTok. 
  6. Set the value of each conversion TikTok will optimize more effectively for contacts associated with higher-value events.
  7. Type the event name. Click Next.
  8. Under Data sharing:
    • Your contacts should have given you permission to share their data. Select the Consent property dropdown menu to specify how you collect consent, ensuring only the correct contacts are sent to TikTok.
    • Select contact data (e.g., email, phone, name, etc.) to send to TikTok for matching. More data fields improve match rates.
    • Select whether you want all contacts or contacts that interact with ads to be shared with TikTok if they've moved to the selected lifecycle stage.

Once created, HubSpot will automatically sync qualifying conversions to TikTok going forward. You can monitor the number of events synced from the Events tab on the Ads page.
