All products and plans

You can clone a HubSpot blog post, email, or page to use an existing piece of content as a starting point for a new piece of content. In the design manager, you can also clone a template, theme, or module to make changes without affecting pages using the original file.

Clone blog posts and pages

Changes made to a cloned page won't affect the original page. If you change the cloned page's template, those changes will affect all pages using that template.

  1. Navigate to your content:
    • Website Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Website Pages.
    • Landing Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Landing Pages.
    • Blog: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Blog.
  2. Hover over a blog post or page and click Clone
  3. In the dialog box, enter an internal name for your new blog post or page, then click Clone. You can also use Breeze to clone and generate new content for landing pages. Learn more about generating landing pages.
  4. In the content editor, edit your cloned page.

Please note: knowledge base articles can't be cloned.

Clone emails

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Email.
  2. Hover over your email and click Clone
  3. In the right side panel, enter the email name in the Email name field.
  4. In the Email type section, select whether your new email will be Regular or Automated.
  5. In the email editor, customize your cloned email. By default, your cloned email will have the same settings, options, and recipients lists as the original email.

Please note: HubSpot blog subscription emails can't be cloned.

Clone emails on the HubSpot mobile app

You can also clone a marketing email using the HubSpot mobile app.

  1. Open the HubSot mobile app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Menu, then tap Marketing emails in the left sidebar.
  3. Tap a marketing email.
  4. In the top right, tap the three horizontal dots, then tap Clone.

Clone templates, themes, and module

Accounts with access to the design manager can clone assets created there, such as templates, themes, and modules.

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Design Manager.
  2. In the finder, click the name of a template, theme, or module.
  3. Click the File dropdown menu and select Clone "[file name]". A copy of the file will be created with the name [File name] copy. The copy will open automatically in the layout editor.
  4. To create an HTML copy of a drag and drop template, click the Actions dropdown menu and select Clone to HTML. The cloned template will contain raw HTML, rather than drag and drop modules.
